Dr. Mohamed is the founder and clinical director of Perio Clinic Oakville, a state-of-the-art periodontal and dental implant practice that specializes in microsurgery and minimally-invasive surgical treatments.
Dr. Mohamed is a board certified specialist by the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He is an expert in dental implant therapy, periodontal surgery, bone augmentation, and osseous reconstruction. He is also considered a local expert in Alveolar Bone Reconstruction and Soft tissue Grafting.
Periodontal Education & Training
Dr. Mohamed began his training at the University of Toronto where he received his Honorary Bachelor of Science Degree. During this time, he also took part in periodontal research at Mount Sinai Hospital. He then went on to pursue dentistry at the prestigious Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After completing his dental degree, Dr. Mohamed achieved a specialization in Periodontics and Implant Surgery by completing his residency at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals in Cleveland. While in Cleveland, Dr. Mohamed received anesthesia training and completed a Master’s Degree in Regenerative Medicine.
After completing his residency, Dr. Mohamed received Board Certification in Canada and the United States. He then went on to receive further training to sub-specialize in microsurgery for minimally-invasive surgical treatments.
Advanced Periodontal Methods
Dr. Mohamed has particular interests in minimally-invasive approaches to surgery. He also focuses on regenerative medicine in surgery and bio-engineering to grow bone and soft tissue. His approach helps to restore natural contours, save l teeth and give his patients beautiful smiles.
Dr. Mohamed is one of the only periodontal surgeons who uses computer guided digital planning and 3D printing to simplify his surgical treatments. His Oakville periodontistry practice incorporates cutting-edge equipment, Live Navigation Surgery Systems, which have been adapted from brain surgery to offer greater precision and improved recovery.
Dr. Mohamed also provides numerous cosmetic procedures to enhance his patients’ smile — from gum contouring to lip augmentation. As an innovator in the field of periodontistry, he has developed new techniques to enhance the predictability and success of soft tissue and bone augmentation procedures.
